What is a Life Group? It is a non-intimidating place where we gather and do life together. Four-10 people meet weekly in someone’s home or other meeting space for 1-2 hours. Here we build relationships with one another, share meals, spend time in the Word, pray with and for each other, and simply do life together. This is a safe space that is full of honesty and confidentiality. This is where we become family and are free to invite others who are in need of a community.
Disciples groups, or D Groups, gather weekly for 1-1.5 hours as a small group that is gender-specific. This is a place of high accountability. We are in the Word daily as directed by our Band journal. When we gather, we discuss how the Lord is the speaking to us through our reading, questions we may have, and sins we are struggling with or overcoming. We continually pray for one another as well as for the lost.
Discipleship takes place through accountability, being in the Word daily, repenting, prayer, and utilizing the band journal as our guide.
Grades 6th- 12th anyone and everyone welcome.
Food/Games/Fun while we learn about who Christ is, and who we are in Christ.
The Core: The central and most important part of something. (We are the central and most important part of God’s creation.)
Sundays: 12:00pm – 2:00pm
Are you thinking about accepting Jesus as your Savior? Baptism is your outward confession that you are committing to follow Jesus. It represents your sins being washed away and a new life being raised within you as you emerge from the water. In Acts 2:38 Peter instructs us to “Repent and be baptized.” As the scripture instructs us, we are ready to baptize all who have repented of their sins and recognize Jesus as their Savior (Matthew 28:19). The Loving Hands Food Pantry is part of the Shiawassee Hunger Network. The Network has several pantries to provide for the residents of Shiawassee County. Currently, the only requirement is proof of residency. A specific Pantry can be visited every 30 days and you must wait 7 days before visiting another pantry. Our pantry is open T/W/Th 9:00am – 12:00pm. No appointment needed. We only offer food, but other pantries in the area have a different variety of items to offer. Our Kids Church Ministry includes Infants through 5th grade.
Parenting is an important job, and we want to help! Your child will learn that God loves them, that they can trust Him no matter what, and that they should love others as Jesus loves them. Through discovery and new understanding, your children will grow in relationship with Jesus. It is foundational that we show the truth of Jesus through Key Bible stories, Faith Skills, and Life applications. It is our goal to partner with parents to teach kids to make wise choices, build strong relationships, and develop a deeper faith. Kids Church will do these by creating an engaging learning environment, building authentic small group times, and being intentional in partnering with parents.
